Other Leadership Committees

The Corporate Development Committee is responsible for generating strategies for the Partnership’s outreach efforts in the corporate and foundation sectors. The Committee works closely with the Executive Director, and Development and Communications Departments, seting goals and developing new initiatives. The goal of the Committee is to expand the Partnership’s presence within the corporate and foundation sectors on a national, regional and state level, while increasing support for the Partnership’s mission.

The Community Education Workgroup advises the Programs Department in the development and expansion of the Partnership’s Patient education and awareness programs. The Workgroup members are past attendees of the Lung Cancer Advocacy Summit who are committed to improving lung cancer awareness and education.  

The Chapter Advisory Council advises the Development and Communications Departments in the expansion and evolution of the Partnership’s Chapter program. The main goal is to help the Partnership identify issues that may affect Chapter development and long-term growth of the program.

The Planned Giving Committee works with the Development Director to develop policies for and support the implementation of the planned giving program, and shall oversee the Partnership’s Endowment Fund. The Committee includes CPAs, trust officers, estate planning and charitable gift planning attorneys, certified or chartered financial planners and chartered life underwriters to ensure an informed and well-rounded technical perspective.

The Free to Breathe® Advisory Council works collaboratively with the National Events Development Department to strengthen and improve the effectiveness, growth and experience of the Free to Breathe® program.  This council is composed of leaders in the Free to Breathe® program, including local event organizers/chairs, integral planning committee members, team captains, major fundraisers and actively engaged event participants.

Members of each of these committees are active, committed advocates for the Partnership and have a full understanding of the National Lung Cancer Partnership's mission, as well as the goals and purposes of the programs on which they are working.
