Database and Research Manager
The National Lung Cancer Partnership is a growing non-profit organization dedicated to
decreasing deaths due to lung cancer and to helping patients live longer and better. We are
looking for a self-motivated and detail oriented person to join our Development Department
as a Database and Research Manager who will maximize the utilization of our online
fundraising and donor databases.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Manage all administrative aspects of online fundraising and donor databases, including creation, implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures to maximize efficiency.
- Manage, coordinate and implement database upgrades, including training users.
- Serve as lead for comprehensive constituent research projects.
- Ensure data integrity; audit data to confirm accurate entry processes and eliminate duplicate records.
- Create and run standardized reports to help analyze and segment data.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
- A minimum of 3 – 5 years of relevant database administration experience and report writing (ideally in a non-profit environment).
- Demonstrated proficiency in Convio Constituent 360 online fundraising and Common Ground donor databases (or experience with similar technology).
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Highly developed critical thinking and analytical skills; ability to make sound recommendations based on standard technical practices.
- Comfortable and effective in a small office setting.
