2011 Advocacy Summit

The National Lung Cancer Partnership’s 4th Annual Advocacy Summit, held April 28-May 1 in Denver, was an inspiring success!

“What an amazing weekend I had! I can't wait to start working with all my new found friends and continuing to network! This organization has changed my life and my family. Never underestimate the power of one voice with a purpose.”
-2011 Summit Participant

At this conference, about 50 advocates learned how they can work with the Partnership to help defeat lung cancer and brainstormed ways to expand the movement.

Advocates also had the opportunity to get a first-hand look at the research their efforts are funding by touring a University of Colorado, Denver research facility. There, they also met two of the Partnership’s Young Investigator Research Grant recipients.
