The North Carolina Lung Cancer Partnership’s First Lung Cancer Advocacy Summit, held August 28, 2010 at NC Cancer Hospital , was an inspiring success! We were thrilled to welcome 60 advocates from around the state so they could learn from professionals and each other about how they can personally make a difference in the fight against lung cancer.
The goal of the annual Advocacy Summit is to empower advocates by giving them the tools, knowledge and courage to become confident and effective advocates for lung cancer research and awareness.
Summit workshops included many advocate presenters sharing stories of success. These inspiring presenters showed what can truly be accomplished at a grassroots level.
