Support services

Cancer Care
This national, not-for-profit organization provides free, professional support services for anyone affected by cancer. Support is available in person, online and by telephone.

The Cancer Support Community
The Cancer Support Community was created from a merger between Gilda's Club and The Wellness Community. This national not-for-profit organization provides professional programs of emotional support, education, and hope for people affected by cancer at no charge so that no one faces cancer alone.

Care Pages
CarePages are free, easy-to-use Web pages that help family and friends communicate when a loved one is receiving care. CarePages help families create a virtual meeting place on the web; share news and photos as often as needed; and receive emotional support during a time of need.

Imerman Angels
Imerman Angels offers one-on-one cancer support, connecting cancer fighters, survivors, and caregivers to each other to give encouragement and support.

Lotsa Helping Hands
This website helps friends, family, colleagues and neighbors assist loved ones in need. It provides an easy-to-use private group calendar, specifically designed for organizing helpers, so everyone can pitch in with meal delivery, rides and other tasks that can be helpful during a crisis.

Lung Cancer Caring Ambassadors Program
The mission of the Lung Cancer Caring Ambassadors Program is to encourage people with lung cancer to take an active role in their own healthcare, and to help others with lung cancer.

My Life Line
Create a free website to connect with your family and friends. My Life Line's mission is to empower cancer patients and caregivers to build an online support community to foster connection, inspiration and healing through free, personalized websites.

FacingBereavement
Helping you deal with bereavement, FacingBereavement contains over 80 articles written by experts who continually update and add new content.

Financial assistance

Beyond the Rainbow
Beyond the Rainbow gives people with catastrophic illness or injury one less thing to worry about by providing them with some financial support.

HealthWell Foundation
This foundation provides financial assistance to eligible patients to cover certain out-of-pocket health care costs. At this time, they are only able to serve NSCLC patients.

Hope Cancer Fund
Hope Cancer Fund's focus is to help cancer patients and their families with special financial needs.

Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF)
Cancer Care and the Lance Armstrong Foundation have teamed up to form the LIVESTRONG SurvivorCare program to offer financial counseling for cancer patients, caregivers, family and friends.

NetWish.org
NetWish.org's specific focus is how the aid will benefit children, older adults and other vulnerable members of our community.

Partnership for Prescription Assistance
For access to specific therapies, this organization offers a single point of access to nearly 500 public and private assistance programs.

Patient Access Network Foundation
The Patient Access Network Foundation can provide financial assistance to insured patients who cannot afford the out-of-pocket costs associated with their treatment.

Patient Advocate Foundation
This national non-profit organization seeks to safeguard patients through effective mediation to assure access to care, maintenance of employment and preservation of financial stability.

Social Security Administration's Compassionate Allowance Disability
The Social Security Administration has declared that a diagnosis of advanced NSCLC or SCLC (of any stage) qualifies one for disability.

United Way
Your local United Way can help with basic living expenses, including rent/mortgage, utility payments and food.

Vickie's Angel Walk
Vickie's Angel Walk will provide financial assistance for families fighting cancer where it can help the most - money for medicine, equipment, medical insurance, and tests not covered by insurance.
