Language You May Hear

When you are diagnosed and treated for lung cancer or any other disease, you may hear language you don’t understand – from your doctor, your nurses, other professionals, or in information you find on the Internet or other places. When this happens, it is very important to talk to your doctor or nurse and ask for a clear explanation of any language you do not understand. For an explanation of terms you may hear about the diagnosis and treatment of your cancer, click here to link to a medical terminology dictionary provided by the National Cancer Institute.
